This was a commission for a friend who was about to be married. The sister of the groom wanted me to draw them as Simpsons characters in the Simpsons world. I accepted this challenge even though fan art was really something that I don't normally do. I tried to slip in lots of other references to things that weren't Simpsons stuff, but his sis caught me every time and had me remove them. I always try to sneakily add stuff in pics to add my own flavor.
Getting the colors just right here required me to "steal" them from existing Simpsons images.
The layout was simple enough. There are tons of images of this iconic couch available for reference pics. The hardest thing for me was to draw new characters in someone else's style. I employed every trick to avoid drawing many hands ;)
