Witchy Woman
A commission I did for a profile pic. I was given reference photos and instructions for a stereotypical "witch" look. I was really happy with the shading and magic effects on this one. Doing profile pics can be tricky because you are only working with images that are in a 1:1 ratio and you want to keep the details down a bit. The images are usually viewed at such a small version of what you draw, that details can get lost.
It took a while to get the hair color just right. There are three base colors just for the hair.
The highlights on the hair is something that I am very happy with on this one.
The hardest thing for the sketch process was the hat, honestly. I didn't want it to cover too much but wanted to make sure it looked big enough to fit the mood requested.
