Grum's Birthday
This was a commission from "Shades", a viewer / friend in Grumbul's community on Twitch. They wanted me to do a birthday celebration using the characters that I created for Grum's channel. We agreed that an outside celebration fit the community well, so that's what we went with. My only struggle was doing the background on this one. I'm not great at getting the size correct for things that are supposed to be far away. I always worry that things won't be easily seen. Also I tend to draw with thicker lines and when shrunk down, sometimes stuff becomes a blob. ANYWAY, I'm happy with this one.
The final image for the entire party. This was a long long process getting here, but I'm super happy with how this turned out.
This is where we started. I needed to know at least where the transparency had to be placed so he could put the source for the gameplay when taking a break.
I was experimenting with colors... I didn't want to go just grey for anything. This was supposed to be a celebratory birthday picture. Grey was out of the question.
Tried a new way of doing backgrounds, because I always seem to experiment every time I do a project just to make things harder for myself.
